You will have the pleasure of being picked up from your hotel or any location and relaxing in a private, comfortable vehicle on the journey to Kandy City. Your wonderful day of adventure with the largest captive herd of elephants in the world begins when you reach Pinnawala, where you will be given the opportunity to feed the elephants of the orphanage.

 

Later, you will explore the spice/herbal garden, which has an indigenous plantation that produces spices such as cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, and many hundreds of other spices and herbs. Then, we will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic to see the sacred tooth of Buddha, a symbol of status that proves the worthiness of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. Admire the beautiful architecture of the palace and observe the golden figurines in the shrine. After that, we will explore some of the ancient crafts by traditional artisans, including gems, wood carving, and batik. You can watch craft demonstrations and buy souvenir gifts and enjoy a city viewpoint before having lunch at a local restaurant at your own expense.

 

Afterwards, we will visit a Ceylon Tea Plantation and Tea Factory to learn how Ceylon tea is processed. Then, we will head to Ambuluwawa Tower, which is a multi-religious center for people of all religions in Sri Lanka. At the end of the day trip, we will take you back to your hotel or drop you off at your desired location.
