Kandy

After breakfast, you'll be heading to the Sacred City of Kany. En route, we visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch the elephants being fed, bathing, and playing in the river. After that, we continued our journey to Kandy. Check in at our hotel and refresh. In the evening, we visit the Temple of the Tooth, which houses the most important Buddhist relic in Sri Lanka. After that, you will have the option to attend a traditional performance of dancing and fire.

After breakfast, you will explore on your own by walking around the last capital of Sri Lankan kings. You will have the chance to visit interesting places, such as taking a stroll by the Kandy Lake and shopping for souvenirs in the downtown markets and gem museum. After the city tour, we will return to our hotel. In the afternoon, you can either have some rest at the hotel or enjoy a leisurely walk in the colorful Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Here, you will see 300 varieties of orchids from Sri Lanka, as well as a range of other plants.

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you will be heading to Sri Lanka's tea region of Nuwara Eliya. This place is also referred to as 'Little England' due to the presence of many colonial buildings in the area. While driving through the cold and misty hills that host lush green tea plantations, make a stop at a tea factory to observe the rich tradition of making Ceylon tea that is kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style with a perfectly blended cup of tea. After that, we continued our journey to Nuwara Eliya and checked into our hotel. In the evening, you can walk around Nuwara Eliya's city center and visit its market on your own if you wish to.

In the morning, you will enjoy a spectacular train journey from Nanu-oya station to Ella village. It is known as one of the most picturesque hill country train journeys in the world.Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. Early in the morning, join a trek to Ella Rock to capture the sunrise (optional activity). After breakfast, you will head to Hikkaduwa. En route, we will stop at Ravana waterfall, another popular sightseeing attraction in Ella, and the Old Town of Galle, which features a fine mixture of European architecture and South Asian sensibilities. After a fantastic journey through the coconut palms and mountains, you will finally arrive at the world-famous beachside of Sri Lanka. Upon checking in at your hotel, you can grab a towel and relax on the beach while enjoying a cocktail or a chilled beer under the shade of a palm tree.
